The Lost (part 2)...

In spite of all my efforts, 2 vets, and a trip to Mississipi State Vet Clinic, Ferris passed away last night from a disease that is called Bastard Strangles.
I am completely, totally, and utterely devestated, and my heart is broken. I am so sad that I won't be able to share the long life that I expected I would have with him. I cannot express in words how much I will miss him. No horse can ever relpace him, and I can't imagine that any horse in my future would be as special to me as he was. I will always love him dearly, and I will never forget him. I have to believe that he has come to a better place full of green, grassy fields where there is no pain or sickness, or else the pain and emptiness of his loss would be too much to bare...
