Inked...

So, I got my first tattoo this weekend (image featured above is said tattoo) and I have to say it was a pretty great experience. Though neither tattoo artist that worked in the shop had a single tattoo (weird...) they turned out to be excellent artists and their reputations and the six week waiting period were definitely deserved and worthwhile. For anyone considering a tattoo, I would have to say yes, it does hurt, but not that bad. I'm extremely happy with mine and like the way my body looks more with it that I did without it.

Still to come...Why I have the absolute worst luck in fantasy football ever....

Where on your body is the tattoo?

Did you design it, because it has your flair for horse drawing?

It's on my back between my shoulder blades.
I sort of designed it...I based it off of another design that I found, but I re-drew it and adapted it for myself. So it is essentially unique.

By the way...the pain of getting the tattoo is relatively small compared to the pain of the healing of the tattoo. It feels like a really bad sunburn with a bad scrape on top that has a scab. (Oh, and a sore muscle underneath) Every time you move it sort of cracks open and small pieces of your dead, inky skin flake off. You have to wash it all the time and put vitamin E on it. It is raised and rough right now like sand paper...kind of gross really. Anyway, it'll be fine in a few days. Just thought I'd mention that because none of those tattoo shows really tell you what comes after you actually get inked.
